Hi all… I saw the following posted on the Canvas the Point bulletin board, and I am interested as well, as my husbands family is Swedish. Any thoughts?? I will repost any answers I receive here, on that board. Thanks! Wonderful! Thanks! Off hand, can you tell me whether this book is for needlepoint, x-stitch or both? I work in both myself, but I think the original poster was interested in strictly needlepoint. I have this book also, and Barbara is right! A lovely book. And in its introduction there is a small soliloquy on what stitching means to us and

Hi Elna, Don’t you just love the book? I like the words as much as the charts! barbara…You are the first person I have met who knows the book! This is quite a thrill for me… – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I have this book also, and Barbara is right! A lovely book. I just bought two kits (linen fabric & DMC floss-already separated) last month from Scandinavian Designs. They have since become a "Wholesale Only" business, but I’m sure if you do a search for the name you should find them & then could order from your LNS. There are also things called "Tabletoppers" that come from a web site that has a Dutch theme. You might do a search on Deja News for these too. I think that’s where I originally came accross the URLs. I’ve already decided that my three sisters are each getting tabletoppers for birthdays & Xmas next year! Hopefully, by January the Precision Sheet Metal business will be doing well enough for me to have S.E.X. without guilt.

There’s an online company called The Scandinavian Cross Stitch Co. that imports kits from Marks & Kattens (Swedish) and Cewec (Danish). The URL is <http://www.lbkits.com/ The Dutch Treat tabletoppers site is <http://www.dutchtrt.com/ HTH, Nan Evelyn
